Visiting New York City is always a special time. The city constantly changes and no matter how long we plan to visit you simply can not see it all.
If you are staying in the city my personal favorite is the Mandarin Hotel on Columbus Circle. The amenities are excellent. The bar and restaurants on the 35th floor are awesome and offer spectacular views of the city and Central Park.
If shopping is on your agenda you can not beat Fifth Avenue which is a few minutes away. You’ll find all the luxury brands and many more. My personal favorite is Saks Fifth Avenue and I’d highly recommend lunch at their boutique restaurant. The views are fabulous and the setting could not be better.
The sights are endless but I would have the following iconic settings on your must see list; Times Square, Broadway, Fifth Avenue, Rockerfeller Center, The Empire State Building, Ellis Island, One World Trade Center, Moma, St Patrick’s Cathedral on Fifth Avenue and the Intrepid.
For entertainment the show scene is excellent and my personal favorites being Phantom of the Opera, Beautiful, Hamilton and Jersey Boys.
You are spoilt for choice for dinner but I would recommend any of the following; Wolfgangs, Hakkasan, Pizzeteria Brunetti, Spice Market, Catch, Extra Virgin and Decoy.
If you time for trip for late August or early September a day at the US Open is always special. Watching the best tennis players slug it out on center court will be a highlight.
I hope you get to enjoy the above and so much more.
