This is the last part of my blog series on New Zealand and what it has to ov
Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley
This is an amazing place to check out in New Zealand that really has a prehistoric feel to it. There are plenty of active geysers which includes the largest active geyser in the southern hemisphere. There are also mud pools that can reach up to 205 degrees!
There is a heritage center nearby as well where you can have a meal prepared via an ancient geothermal cooking method. This is a very unique experience and an interesting look into how ancient civilizations went about their daily life. Tastes great too!
Waitomo Glowworm Caves
These caves are illuminated by thousands and thousands of little glowworms. This is truly an experience unlike any other and it will certainly leave a lasting impression on you after your trip.
They have boat tours that you can go on where you can learn more about the caves and how exactly these worms glow. They also have some really fun black water rafting adventures where you can float down the streams in an inner tube, jump waterfalls, and rapel down caves.
Thanks so much for taking the time to view this blog series! I’m excited to have an opportunity to share this with you and I’m looking forward to sharing more fun information in the future. Over the next day or two I will be coming up with some more travel tidbits to share with you so stop by again soon!
